We do charge a small fee for our Blitz Process – this helps to ensure that all stakeholders buy into the project. For The Blitz process to work, everyone must do their bit.

He has developed and delivered solutions across the innovation life cycle – from planning through funding, resourcing and development, to exploitation and exit – and is a leading authority in IP protection and Commercialisation, having developed worldwide sales channels, joint ventures and technology partnerships for a number of major clients, including Microsoft.

Nigel has personally formed two start-up companies in Software Applications, Engineering and Development – becoming market sector leaders before divesting.

After acquiring a Physics B.SC (hons) and AKC from Kings College London, Phil trained at Ernst and Young. Following that, he has worked as a divisional CFO for IBM, later Xyratex, Soco Internal plc, ICO Global plc, Tradition and numerous Angel, VC and PE house backed SMEs in the TMT, Financial Services and Fintech sectors.

He is passionate about innovation in the workplace and works with Boards to release their potential.

Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences (UMIST), Iain has worked across a wide range of vertical and horizontal international markets with a focus on B2B and channel marketing. He has operated at board level and has held full P&L responsibility.

Iain has been responsible for the successful launches of a number of new disruptive brands, products and services, involving new value propositions, new channels to market and new partner relationships. He has also applied his marketing expertise to dozens of successful InnovateUK R&D grant projects.

For the last 15 years, Iain has used his experience to support growing tech businesses.

Huw is a specialist in grants for innovation and commercialisation, providing an expert overview of the innovation funding landscape.

Huw has BA, MA and PhD degrees in Natural Sciences from Cambridge and was a Research Fellow in Oxford. Huw has specialist expertise in IT enabled measurement and testing technologies, as part of intelligent communicating systems, with wide application. He has operated in senior product development and market research roles for Elsevier, Frost & Sullivan and NOP.

Huw has worked for the European Commission in ICT and Micro & Nano technologies for the Framework/Horizon 2020 programmes for 30 years. He also works as an assessor for the “Council for Europe” EUREKA! Programme and the European EIT/RIS R&D support programmes.

He is a highly experienced project manager with broad industry experience encompassing Technology, Marketing and Finance. 
 
He has expert knowledge of SME funding schemes and has formulated over 500 individual grant submissions. 
 
Key programmes worked on include SPUR, SMART, Eureka, Technology Strategy Board, Innovate UK and the European Framework, CRAFT, Brite Euram and H2020. 
 
In parallel with his grant funding work, Roger has spent the last five years working with VCs, managing Technical Due Diligence projects for an increasing number of firms as a critical part of their investment decision-making process.

He has an honours degree in Applied Physics (1979) and was awarded a PhD for his work on spread spectrum local area networks (1985) both from the University of Durham. During the past 40 years, Colin has worked in both the academic and the industrial world, including a period as Head of Department and Professor of Computer Science at Sheffield University (1992-99).

Since 1999 Colin has been consulting for the IMS Global Learning Consortium where he is currently the IMS Chief Architect. In 1999 he became a Fellow of the BCS and Chartered Engineer. He is also a Fellow of the IET.

His commercial work has revolved around high-performance computing and 3D computer graphics. Consultancy work has seen him working with the likes of nVidia and AMD and all major computer games publishers as well as other creative industries.

He has set up companies relating to technology in the golf industry and provided research work to several sports clients including Adidas.
 
Derek is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Chartered IT Professional. He has an MBA with a particular interest in innovation management and market strategy.

Guillaume received a B.Eng in Electronics and Computer networks from the Institut supérieur d’électronique de Paris in 1996 and was further awarded a PhD in Computer Sciences by the University of Sheffield in 2003. For the past 20 years, he has been involved with several high growth organisations in various positions, from CTO to managing director.

Guillaume has acted as the principal consultant delivering projects for numerous start-ups and venture capitalist firms.
